Our process / How it's made :
Step 1
Quote on design
First, you reach out and discuss a desired design. A quote will be given within 1-2 days for said design.
Useful information to have:
- Metal type ( Ex: 14K, 18K, Platinum)
- Diamond / Gemstone ( Ex: 2 ct natural oval diamond )
- Ring size / Piece size ( Ex: US 7, 33mm tall )
- Desired timeline ( Typically 3-4 weeks to build )
Step 2
A deposit is made
Once a quote is agreed upon, you will be sent a custom checkout link via email. Once paid, we begin the project.
- Typical deposit size: 25-50% down depending on projects price. ( This deposit is NONREFUNDABLE )
- The rest will be paid at the projects completion.
- (Usually in 3-4 weeks )
Step 3
CAD Rendering
Within 7-10 days, you will receive a 3D CAD rendering of your design to approve.
- Edits can be made to the design
- We will only move forward when you approve

My engagement ring of 22 years had been through a lot with bent prongs and a small side diamond that had turned sideways. The original jeweler was out of business so I needed to find someone I could fully trust to rebuild my ring. I’d watched many of Jason’s videos and knew he was so skilled and meticulous. The process was smooth and fast - several iterations with digital drawings, allowing me to adjust some angles and shapes, then the build. Jason listened and took all the feedback I had without any issues. And the end result is beautiful - and the settings and prongs are so secure, this ring will last forever!
Jason knocked it out of the park, the entire process was 100% seamless and smooth. He was willing to cater to every one of my requests, help guide me throughout the whole process, and at the end of everything- the final product was nothing short of absolutely stunning. Step 4
3D printing
Your design will be printed in a castable wax or resin to prepare for casting.
step 5
Wax / Resin tree
After the wax / resin is cured, it's placed on a casting tree to be casted in the desired metal.

Limitless options
With 3D wax / resin printing, the options are endless. Most detailed pendants are usually printed in a wax, while rings are typically printed in resin.
step 6
Completed casting
The entire tree will be casted in the same metal. This is an example of a 14K yellow gold casted tree of rings. This was that weeks 14K yellow orders casted together.

Casting tree trim
The rings are then individually cut and sorted by metal type. Here you see a pile of 14K yellow, 14K rose, 14K white, 18K yellow, and 18K white gold rings.
step 8
Filing / Cleaning
Your ring will then be filed down with multiple files and grits of sandpaper ( Ex: 18K rose gold castings)
step 9
Polishing
Your entire ring will be polished with multiple rounds of different polishing compounds.
Step 10
Prepped for stone setting
After your piece is almost at a complete polish, it will be prepared for stone setting.
Step 11
Stone Setting
Now your piece has almost made it across the finish line. This is the final step, but requires the most focus and work. You can see many examples of our stone setting on Instagram @purecarbonstudios
